For the past 4 years the customers had signed up via a physical printed data capture form to be entered into competitions. The take-up was low and they saw inaccuracies with data input. There was a need for more engagement and an elemenet of play to not only increase sign ups but to collect accurate and useful data. The task we were set was to collect more data from their customers over the festive period in a digital but unobtrusive way. But we are big believers of when your meal arrives, its time to put your phones down and enjoy the experience.
We designed and built a web app, presented with your bill. Customers are prompted to easily log onto the wifi which launches a simple game working across any device on any platform. The game was incentivised with instant prizes, such as 50% off their bill on a return visit, gift vouchers and free rounds of drinks. Simplicity and accessibility was the key. Being a web app all that was required was a device, no latest operating system trouble, or glitchy in store apps. The app was styled for 6 different brands, and launched in all venues nationwide.
The results were so successful we have now developed the web app into a product for Thursday to help out other restaurants. We can totally change the look and feel of the app, re brand, re-skin, you name it we can do it. It's a clever, solution to create an on brand customer experience to build customer loyalty and offer rewards.
